OMG- LOL
people donate the weirdest things.........
what i find strange is that they haven't procreated!!!SMH
maybe the deceased was the sole male...
could be.
i just wonder how can you donate a camel to a PM... wat will the Pm do with it...
^^ ^ ^
lets hope they aren't there for their milk!
SMH
the real reason behind the donation was because Gaddafi wants the lesotho prime minister to be on his side of the votes with regards to the united african currency being proposed. so its a bribe in a very weird way i guess.
Bt if you wana bride a PM... you would use cash, car, luxuries etc. for example Jacob Zuma not CAMELS...
well maybe he heard about the edible transport in Lesotho (horses), and decided to give the PM a taste of another form of edible transport (camel).
I mean, which other animals can you ride for loooong distances and then at the end make a meal of them???!!!
maybe, just maybe...
*no offence intended
@ ae- a bit taken here.
in case yal din no, lybians hold camels very close to their hearts and for them its a good gesture to give sumn close to ur heart as opposed to sumn that has very lil meaning.
there was no disrespect intended, and my comment was not meant to demean --- but have a look at this:
http://www.netnewspublisher.com/lesotho-welcomes-five-camels-from-libya/
["The Secretary of the People’s Bureau of the Libyan Arab, Yousef Algwoigy, said camels have great meaning in the lives of Libyans.
“Camels are the type of animals that can bare hardship, and the weather conditions in Lesotho are convenient for their survival, as it is more or less the same as in Libya,” he said.
Algwoigy added that camels are not wild but domestic animals, which can be easily cared for like sheep and cattle. He said people can get meat and milk from the camels and further use them as a mode of transport.
A similar gift will be presented to Mozambique, Namibia, Madagascar and Botswana from the Libyans.] --- Source African Press Agency
