    It would've made more sense if it was from one of the favelas... I haven't seen any photos of the favelas.. why? I just ask because they're a bit difficult to ignore...

    I visited a couple of Favelas but I wasnt really comfortable shooting there. It felt a bit invasive and insensetive. We met a local guy there who told us that the many tour operators who take people on tours to the favelas, often claim to have the permission and support of the residents of those favelas, and are usually lying. they claim to give back a portion of the proceeds to the communities to build schools etc, but that is rarely the case.
