So we attended the 1st Joburg We Are One colour festival at the Emmarentia Dam this past Saturday... Its every photographys dream and worst nightmare all rolled into one event.
If you have ever watched the Hunter S Thompson Movie "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" the scene where they go to cover a bike race in the desert where it is just one big cloud of dust... Well that kinda explains this event. It was an awesome event, everyone was so happy and friendly.

Nice! Hope your camera survived. The week after the one here in CT the Orms repair booth was basically one massive heap of colourful, expensive, broken cameras.
LOL.... I protected mine with freezer bags and sellotape, so did Gari but he quickly got irritated with it and took it off. Everything is still in very good working order flashes included.... Looks like they were never in a colour war :) As long as you stayed far away from water, you were say!!

a very lovely image. you could've captured people's expressions, but you got a quiet, uncontrived moment instead. I'm happy that everyone is faceless and sans the things that place in them in their various age and social groups, classes, subcultures etc
