Stick fighting throughout the years has always been fun to watch and participate in.......Largely practiced by young men who heard cattle, it is taken as means or ways of testing courage, bravery and supremacy......!
It might look babaric to most, inhuman to others or inciting violence...but this is a sport...and a passage to manhood...!

The only bad thing about modernized stick fighting is the choice of “weaponry” used (sticks). The two sticks you see in this fight are not meant for this kind of sport. “Isagila” (fighting stick with a rounded ending) was initially used in serious fights and wars, they are meant to cause serious damage or to kill your opponent and they are not suitable or permitted in any form of stick fighting.
The man on the far right corner of the photo is carrying a proper fighting stick…..a blow from that stings but doesn’t deliver a deadly blow or dismantle an ankle or break a rib.
