This here building has a bad history for one too many black ploiticians/people who were directly involved in politics and violence related to politics. This is one of the many places they would be hanged, sentenced or totured. It is currently under construction, getting a face lift, i had the pleasure to snap a couple of shots before the transfomation started.
Pietermaritzburg has a rich history,currently, it is being killed by greedy politicians,BEE tenderprenuers and landlords who make tons of money through renting out properties to illegal foreigners/druglords/brothel runners.
