Everyone is outraged at the moment, Question: What are any of us doing about it, others can afford to read the news papers and news websites, see the pics and so forth without being in danger cause of their current locations, ie the burbs. As much as this situation is both criminal and unjust its also a Human Rights issue, but what can i do about it? what we do about it? apart from commenting...

The ANC said the gorverment should deploy the Army to help out the SAPS, i say they must do that immediately before it gets worser than it is.

    Apart from commenting?

See, it's easy for one person to come out and say 'what are we doing about' --- making the action of doing a collective effort (pikitup) --- how 'bout something else for a change.

Tell us what YOU are doing, about it?

But, to answer your question: I ain't doing jack!, but I will what I do best: Contemplate on the subject at hand.

I don't think WE have to do something, since when are we being dictated what and how to react to something? I reject that notion --- to dictate my reaction is to coerce me into action: which is in contradiction to what Human Rights is about.

    *goes for a smoke break.

Easy there cowboy, any attempt at placing military support, without a state of emergency, will just screw things up.

The military should be the last, utmost attempt at containing violence. Whilst what has happened is crap, it is not out of control with widespread violence all over the country.

Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, icon of the anti-apartheid struggle, also called on South Africans to halt the violence against foreigners. “These are our brothers and sisters. Please, please stop,” he said.

"The world is shocked and is going to laugh at us and mock us,” said Tutu. “We are disgracing our struggle heroes. Our children will condemn us in future.”

if these unscrupulous black people were educated enough to realize that what they doing is just wrong, then all of this wouldn't have had happened in the first place.

and black means you can't be racist? or can't be racist against your own race?

"unscrupulous black people" sounds a bit loaded, wherever you're looking at it from

    Freedom Charter says:
South Africa belongs to all who live in it.
It don't say all who was born in it.

not afraid to say it, coz it's true!

Black people in SA acting like this? How ironic ! --- it's amazing how people forget waaaay too quickly!

The people who are acting like that are giving the other black people a bad reputation im afraid. And the consequences could even get uglier !
Just think about the Economy, 2010 ?---- and BTW have you checked the strength/ Weakness of the Rand today?
