    Why only two? It should be one a month, al least...
    My book of 2009 (and one of the best 10 I ever read) was "The savage detectives" by Roberto Bolano.
    If you're an Architect(ure student), maybe you could have a look at one of Peter Zumthor's books, "Atmospheres", he's a little bit of a romantic but it captures important aspects of architecture in a very poetic way.
