Wacipi, or pow wow, is a get together of people from the same tribe or community in the Native American culture. People come together to sing, dance and pray, as well as spend time with family and friends for the weekend. My favourite experience of the States, I was lucky enough to go with a family and spend time at the Lower Sioux pow wow in Morton, Minnesota, which left me thinking how important it is that we know where we come from and who we're connected to.
