@J re:is it (or anything else) photography?

could be, could not be...what is technical composition and what is aesthetic emotion, what is an artform, what is not an art?

i do not know the definitive answer to your question but contextually my interpretation of my upload...is a subjective recording of what the world in my lifetime has to offer.

    academically phrased:

'...to photograph is to appropriate the thing photographed. It means putting one’s self into a certain relation to the world that feels like knowledge, sharing or even a subversive form of power to impact or tell a particular story metaphorically or otherwise...'

my take is that as long as there is a form of camera obscura (optical device) used and there is significant impacting form (lines and colours combined in a certain way) that stirs the very emotion you had when looking at this...i would, yes, categorically and subjectively call it photography. But that's just my conceptual relationship with the 'word' photography.

Whether the 'visual' is a form of photography created to fulfill a purpose (a fine art byproduct of my challenged mind that ironically does not presume the finished product to be art); or just a shallow consumption of an apparatus that records light... i must leave to your (the viewer) senses.

glad u asked and glad u like

    Snap'd.

It works for me. Tells a story. I find myself looking at the detail. Not all photography does that.
