Part of a series of long exposures with low ISO settings (to avoid grain) that I’ve been experimenting with.
This one was made last night.
I take a lot of pleasure from images made like this, simply because after the click there’s a detachment from the camera, everything is set and normally I’m not even holding it, giving me the space to engage with the moment, listening to the dogs barking, the cars driving past, the distant voices behind the neighbor’s walls, the TVs, the wind, watching the trees move and wonder how will the camera capture it.
It’s a moment of reflection.
As the series advances, hopefully I’ll develop the concept and share some texts from Albert Camus on conquest that have inspired it.
