Cape to Bloem*

* Inspired by Daz  (http://75.co.za/daz/2009/05/12) went through my archive to retrieve this one.

Made in 2007, taken from the car in movement, with a color film in a Pentax SP1000 (older than me), trppin' with a red filter, somewhere in the Karoo, coming back from an office trip to the Sophia Gray Memorial Lecture in Bloemfontein.

    Martian ...

This is what I enjoy about 'graphing. We becomes artists (even if we don't see ourselves as artists), painting pixel canvases of the scenes we've seen. Creating a new world, which we see in our mind's eye!

So true, I call the camera my third eye, even when I don't make the photos I see, it makes me look and interact with everything around through its way of seeing - Optical/Mechanical/Electronic/Chemical

I took this one as the landscape was sliding through, seldom taking my eyes from the viewfinder. Being an SLR I looked at the Karoo with red eyes, the filter transforming this scenery that I once knew in other limits of the light spectrum. With each blink a fraction of time and light exposed kilometers and minutes of waiting for that one, which I can't call moment, but collections of ideas, of random thoughts, of choices made into one fast and reflex decision.
