Numbers are symbols, their meaning change with their context, use, religion and culture. The same symbol can have so many different values to so many different people. I'm looking at the meaning and the attraction that I feel for certain numbers, both for their presence in my work or personal life as for their formal beauty.

I'd say words use numbers instead --- the tone, register and rhythm of those words determines what meaning they have.

I guess they all have their place .The only time numbers really matter in my life is when I am sending an invoice to a client.I could care care less for words but they have they have their place.Give me a moment , an image a picture. any day.I will connect with it easy.

We're just making use of symbols to express ourselves, being words and/or numbers. We can't have an absolute answer to what plays a greater role in our lives or waht uses what, they're interconnected and all part of our daily tools of communication and expression. Each individual chooses how and to what end to use them.

Words don't create pictures in my mind, thoughts create images in my mind then,I feel then I give that thought and feeling a name which is a graphic symbol of what I feel and I feel it can not come close to explain what I am experiencing.That is why words limit me or i let them limit me.I think images are most are the most natural way to communicate wether you can read or write you are still able to read them an understand them very easy.June 16 image, the Hiroshima images, Vietnam.Even My grand mother who can't read a single word can tell you what is happening or will have an idea.Can words Help me imagine things ,Yes.
Do words have a place in the World Yes.The fact that I am writing this to you I am able to translate my imagery thoughts in to graphic symbols so that they can make sense to me first then to you.As for Music as I understand it ,It is a feeling translated in to numbers that create sounds and that feeling is revoked in every soul that listens to that music.I wonder what feeling created "sexual healing"by Marvin Gay What images Did he have when he was creating it.How Many babies were created Because of that song.Poets try,I just get lost between the first line and the last line.
But a still image on the other hand, Puts it all together the fact that you can choose to capture a moment @ 125/5.6 is maths (numbers) when you take to a dark room and develop it ,is chemistry even with digital it is still chemistry.When you caption it is poetry.
I am great full for words and numbers.
