when it comes to print making and framin, if we all use on or two places we can haggle prices., flyers , posters , WEB ---PR
SPACE t hos the exhibit.
think of interactions at the opening, a live(BIG) screen and showing the website in action.
maybe also a online exhibit theme, for those that can exhibit actual work.THEME or NO THEME, that is a big question

Hi everyone!! Wonderful feedback!
Yeah the space is available - Jozi Art LAb @ Art on Main - They aren't charging us for anything!The space is 18 by 12 sqm, we should make date for viewing?
Let me know what resources you can pull in for printing, projecting, screens etc.. (depending on how ya'll wanna exhibit) so that we can get this going and I can organise on my side. Ya'll have to let me know what your needs are and source ASAP!
@ this stage it really is up to you guys what themes you select, pics to exhibit, mediums to use, until the final curation session? So we see what works what doesn't!You are welcome to workshop the exhibition as at this stage we have the venue for a week so lets make the best of it! I'm thinking filming the process so we build an archive of our exhibitions especially for future events, sponsors and funders and of course reference for ourselves!
Let this be the build up to the annual one, which too Ill take my cue from you guys. If you like this gallery we could use it again or another, whatever is clever!

Hey guys! Further developments!
I'm hoping to meet with the gallery on Monday. 25/07/11 The ideal situation here would be 1, to have fully unpacked the above questions- as its about operations and practicalities. And or 2, have a # of artists contributing and # of works each will be exhibiting. The gallery will be needing a scope of the plans.Around the Aug time, first week, I'm not sure, what events will be happening in jozi, the area, oooh and the art scene generally, but some advertising will be needed, Mainly for future, potential funders, sponsors. I'd like to leave the interwebs to the geeks *neyehehheh* and Ill probably need a few postcards for invitations, write up, deliveries etc
The ad strategy could be based on
1. theme or not
2. artist and their works focused or 3, the 75 annual build up or 4, the fact that creatives are just taking up space and exhibiting...um yeah whose with me

yeah that would be cool. the keeness needs to go beyond these here interwebs.
I'm very keen on hosting exhibitions on the regular. Its more of a need than a want or desire.
Long as the space is available, I hope to find the artists to utilize it.
All I can do is provide a platform.
