    1. Kunta Kinte

      Let's do it

    2. lebogang nkoane

      Jeee-yaaah!

    3. Uno

I was just waitin' for the "chief's" whistle... : )
(gotta look like mad for that "first one" though)

    4. Nappy Head

Eish. Virginity. You're forcing a brother to dig into the crates!

    5. lebogang nkoane

Yep — I am starring at that crate (alas, in my case it's a box) right now. A lot o' digging will have to happen.

Eish, I might need a scanner.

    6. Mpumelelo

      Oh yeah, lets do this...

    7. lebogang nkoane

I am thinking maybe I should dress up 75 like how it used to look like the first time it dropped, for the Virginity Theme. It would be 'kewt and ugly'.

    8. Uno

      Lol @ 75 archive...

    9. lebogang nkoane

Yo! At time it was Vanguard!

Actually, that design didn't last long — I think 2-3 months at best.

    10. caprisel

cant wait to see everyones Virginity shots... gotta scan :)

    11. Daz

      I'm in.

    12. Max Mogale

Im late. Again. Man, i miss the internets. Anyway so um, this is kinda embarrassing but how does one do that thing in photoshop where you cut and paste for pictures together? Anybody willing to teach a brother?

    13. lebogang nkoane

Eish, only saw this now — Suavé, there is no thing, you'd have to tinker around with Photoshop to get it to work, unless, I am less informed.

    14. Uno

      Hey Suave!
There are some cameras (like the one I use, the Ricoh GX100) that can be set up to make a photo on a certain interval and if you do 4, it automatically saves it on this layout. Otherwise what you do in Photoshop is open a new file with the same resolution as your 4 photos but give it a size to fit them, depending on how you position your photos and if you use a frame will affect the proportions, for example if you make each of your 4 photos @ 12 x 8 inch with 300 px/inch resolution, landscape you need to open a new file that is about 24 x 16 inch with 300 px/inch, whatever spaces between photos or frames also need to be added to the overall size, if you know this beforehand you can give the size you need, if you want to play around then I advise you to make a generous size like 30 x 20 inch, then when you have your layout in place use the "canvas size" tool with the background color if you want to either crop it or extend it. When positioning your photos it helps if you set up guidelines so that the photos snap to the right position. Hope this helps.

Yeah, im very much keen. Next week sunday right?

    2. lebogang nkoane

      Yeah, this coming Sunday.

    3. ntsasa

      ok, that sounds good.
If we're looking to be outdoors in CT, lets make it early tu, so that when the late afternoon wind sets in, we're done, or ready to go inside.

    4. Diaan

Hey. I'm having a heeectic week, and won't be able to help with any sort of organising. If, however, someone else organises a Jhb meetup, I'll do my best to be there.

    5. Uno

People, it looks like the weather is changing on Friday, so... enjoy the heat while it lasts and shouldn't we make an emergency plan for Sunday "if the weather don't play along"? Any ideas?

    6. lebogang nkoane

True. Pepper club or Buena Vista?

Oh, btw: I'd also like us to mind-map an exhibition!

      plottin' for October!

    7. barnardinho

There is the Scott Kelby photowalk taking place in Jozi this Saturday, then the 702 Walk the Talk - which means half the suburbs will be inaccessible due to road closures.

I'm supposed to be taking part in the Melvlile photowalk on Saturday, but it's a 7am start which is going to be challenging in its own right.

So, I'm afraid there's little chance of my involvement

    8. lebogang nkoane

eish, I suspect the JHB won't happen.

alas, i'll be outthere (rain or shine) plottin' this exhibition.

    9. Uno

Sorry about my constant insistence on checking the weather, I just came out of a terrible flu and just wanna feel warm : )
It looks like we having sun (max temp: 17)* on Sunday, it seems like this cold front coming is a quick one, so... is the plottin' happening on Llandudno?

    10. lebogang nkoane

      well, the plottin' will happen.

Being there isn't a lot o' response: I suspect, it might be Llandudno, but it will happen.

    11. Sam Buk

it would be good to meet the cape town peeps

    12. ntsasa

what is the time for this do?

    13. Mario

so whats the deal with Joburg?

    14. Khumbelo

      yeah what's the deal JHB!

    15. lebogang nkoane

      12 midday.

    16. Greer

      ok helloooooooooooooooooooooooo
      even tau made it.
      no excuses
      word.

    17. Uno

LOL @ "even tau made it"!
Hey, we don't wanna hear any stories about beer, late nights or partying... or even wife searching...

    18. Sam Buk

for those who made it, big ups. it was a pleasure spending a lazy sunday afternoon with ya'll. til next time.

    19. Uno

      LOL:

      "plottin' for October!"

"alas, i'll be outthere (rain or shine) plottin' this exhibition."

      "well, the plottin' will happen."

      "12 midday."

    20. lebogang nkoane

      Sorry.

    21. Matt

Anyone in JHB still keen to get together ?

Nothing too formal..no name badges or awkward "hi, my name it Bob"...

Just a few beers and "shop talk"....

      I'm game.

    22. seilatsatsi

im also game for the joburg hook up

    23. Khumbelo

      i'm game...

    24. Mpumelelo

I'm game for a jozi hoop.
      Q: where and when?

    25. lebogang nkoane

I believe this is being discussed here too: http://75.co.za/barnardinho/2010/08/03#comments

      #REALTALK!
      Another monumental milestone!

    2. netbek

Is there a way to see the most used tags for the year? I love me some metadata in the morning.

    3. lebogang nkoane

… hmmm … me work on that — that would require a lil' bit o' hackin' the backend: it won't take long (the tags on the front page are for the last 7 days).

      *opens terminal.

      *brb.

    4. lebogang nkoane

      *done — :-)

*i'm gettin' good at this cli stuff.

      'njoy.

    5. Uno

      Parabéns! 3!

    6. netbek

@lebogang Nice one. Black & white contemplations, more/less the popular trend. I like that.

Congrats on building a strong community :-)

    7. Daz

@Lebogang: We all be *millionaires* now!

Man, I love the 75 community ... haven't met too many of the 'graphers ... but they feel like family. Respect. Do what you love ...

I thought BWW was brilliant. BW is tough. Makes you think. Much harder to get *right* than colour. I reckon you 75.co.za book has just become 2. A 75.co.za BWW is waiting to be made. But this is going to require a little more than an annual BWW week, to get GREAT images enough to fill it.
Unless of course, you have a few pages in the 75.co.za annual dedicated to BWW.
      That could work.
      Anyway. Respect. Loved BWW ...

    2. CraigN

Pity I missed BWW week, hopefully it becomes an annual thing.

    3. lebogang nkoane

      Word.

and yes we need B&W Book.

      ;-)

    4. Khumbelo
