FREEDOM?

FREEDOM?

I guess this is what the freedom fighters fought for. Today I am often judged harshly for judging this - our intelligent yet entertainingly pointless generation - harshly (the non-judgemental tend to judge the most, no?). I hope to one day know why they do what they do. Why they make those markings on the wall. why they shout from the stage?

What are they saying? so far all i hear is "I do because i can."

where is the plan?

    Ola!

You sound angry... I guess it is enough to make you angry. Being part of this generation [*he hangs his head in shame] I have to agree that there is no plan.

Recently bought a copy of Tribute Magazine. There is an article by Prof. Seepe titled "Black intellectualism post –1994". In it, he makes a comparison btwn academics and intellectuals.

How academics are ppl who specialize in one trade and focus on it and it alone. An intellectual is multi-skilled [ & uses his trade beyond its own limits] and his actions shape opinions of others [whether they agree with him/her or not]. I think academics incl'd hip hop artists who keeps talking abt how bad they are, tag artists who keep writing their own names over and over… lawyers [compare them to Sisulu & Mandela], doctors, teachers, etc [who just happy with the 9-2-5 and it ends there]

Maybe more intellectuals [I could be wrong] could result in plans / goals beyond 2010 or 2014. Any!hau if you can get the mag I think you might like the article.

These Kids Box Their Minds As Effectively as any Genius Academic.
Change will come from those minds that have a broader range of thoughts. Minds that can only call scientific anomolies wierd - NOT OTHER PEOPLE!!!! people are so ordinary and often predictable it's almost a joke how they still manage to frustrate my attempts at world domination *evil laughter here*.
    thanks for that Bafana.
