Thula mabota

Sometime in 1985 I got lucky, got me a UDF t-shirt --- I wore it immediately to go show to my friends --- but the minute I walked the gate ya number 64 (phase 1) up the road I saw one of them army-truck-police-van things (khwela-khwela's I think).

I was shook -- I was shook to the point that I couldn't walk --- my knees failed me --- I literally crawled all the way back into the house, to go take off the UDF t-shirt.

It was a strange time for a child to be in --- realising the reality of the situation.

Indeed it was a strange time for a child to be in --- realising the reality of the situation.
