Lost in thought....spaced out! ( wasted mind and talent )

Another pic I got at the same taxi rank........Compare this to the old man rolling his next fix......youth washed down the drain through dtug abuse, lack of motivation, direction and will to be better in life than those who brought one to this world.

Such is what our world has become!

When I was in matric, a lot of people thought this is where im going to wind up, it's not what you take, its how you handle it!!!

Wonder how long he has owned the shirt,or was it stolen from a fence in someone's back yard or handed down by some good samaritan?

40% of this country's 2009 matric candidates may be looking like this right now. another batch will enter matric 2010 tomorrow and 40% of them or more may suffer the same fate come the end of the year unless our government admit we have a national emergency on our hands that needs divine intervention.

Devine intervention happens withing oneself right?
Or should we contineu with the mentality or mind-frame that restricts us into thinking the government needs to provide?
I'd rather be an educated(matric) garden boy earning R400 per week than blaming my habits and lack of self motivation on people I will never know or meet (the Gov )
    ( my opinion )

the power and consequence of choice, yes i agree however, let's put a scenario in place. this brother may have been extremely motivated to go to school which he did and attended everyday and really put in the effort. he made a good choice. however he finds himself in a environment that's not conducive to learning , i.e teachers arriving late, abusing students and basically not caring. it is the government whose job it is to make sure that this does not happen and our children do not suffer due to incompetence. so the brother loses motivation, drops out of school and becomes a druggie- his choice yes- but had he been in a better environment, things may have been different.
