    @khumbelo: it's definitely a type of orb weaver spider [it looks so much like the golden silk orb weaver except the colours make me uncertain]

    that's not easy to tell, unless you learn a bit about spiders; particularly those in your area. You'd then know what to avoid.

    usually with animals, the more colourful or exotic looking the more likely they are dangerous/poisonous.

    but if the spider's black with a red hourglass marking on it... RUN! lol
