I wonder in whose image are these made from?

Are they children? if so, what does a child know about 'soul', 'life', 'death' and 'spirituality', or do we assume they do, anyway?

    *je suis pense

i don no LN but i think they use kids coz of the 'purity' associated with them. plus they look so cute with their pot bellies and curly hair.

I suppose, they capture the innocence we once lost, and thus at death, we are hoping 'only the pure' usher us into the next world?

*hai, spirituality is a tough subject.

actually, these types of figures are made in the image of ancient greco-roman mythical figures

great shot, i love how only the face is in focus.

its interesting how christianity seems to have two opposed perspectives on children. on the one hand christianity sees children as symbols of absolute purity and innocence. on the other hand christianity can view children as demonic and corrupted (i.e. the concept of original sin).
  9. seilatsatsi
tru that carryon, hence baptism to wash away the original sin.
